Dr. Maimoona Qamar
Dr. Maimoona Qamar is originally from Pakistan and grew up in the United Arab Emirates where she earned her undergraduate degree. She then graduated from King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Qamar came to the US in 2006 after which she completed her Pediatric residency at Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine and Science, East Lansing, MI.
Dr. Qamar is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She practiced Primary care Pediatrics in Federally Qualified Health Centers in W Virginia and Florida for several years. There she served the underserved population, building meaningful relationships with her patients and their families through patient-centered, comprehensive medical care. She also acted as a clinical preceptor for medical students from different universities.
Dr. Qamar finally settled down in Dallas in 2020. She is committed to making each encounter with her patient a meaningful one and fostering health and happiness in her patients.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 kids. She loves to travel and explore historic facts about different places and enjoy their cultures and cuisines. She is an avid reader with a special interest in religion and history.
